OK..

The mobo works fine, i think.
But until about 10 minutes ago only 1 of the 4 cores of my core2quad q6600 got picked up by the device manager, task manager etc in windows. Now there are 4 registered cores in device manager but still only 1 graph in task manager.

I was thinking about flashing the BIOS until i remembered that i had set the BIOS settings to fail-safe because when i had setup the system there was a lot of driver conflicts with a HDD i had moved over (fixed by formatting).
So i changed the BIOS settings to Optimized, booted up vista - which picked up 3 new cores, i reboot and still only 1 core recognized by most of windows.

so basically - WTF?
And if anyone kows what to do, PLEASE help.

Regards and thanks in advance

Clear the CMOS and set the BIOS to its "default" settings to see if that helps.

How do i go about clearing the CMOS memory?

(Edit: nevermind lol, will post results in this post when done

No luck with that =/ no changes)

Would formating and re-installing windows do anything by any chance?
Because it seems the cores are being picked up somewhere along the line in windows, but just not all the way.

Check the BIOS settings as I have seen where the all but one of the CPU cores was disabled in BIOS.
