I have bought a XFX 680I LT mobo and an geforce 8500 vid card for my neighbor and am building a system for her. I have an intel core 2 quad installed and am unable to get any display. I have tried the ram shuffle game...didn't work
I have a gig of Crucial Balllstix ram by the way. I have the same issue with the amber and green leds staying on. Plus there is no way to tell if this thing posts
!!!
Anyone got any ideas?

Check to make sure the power on button is connected to the right pins on the front panel connector.
Reset cmos first, if you don't know how to do it with the cmos reset pin, then unplug it and remove the battery for a minute, replace it and try again.
Failing that unplug every thing from the board except 1 stick of ram, cpu/cooler/video card and try for a post that way.
No post there, reseat cpu/cooler, reseat video card, reseat ram try again.
Failing that remove the ram and power on and listen for beeps, beeps means it's alive and realizes there's no ram.
Check to see if that board has native support for the QUAD, some have to have bios flashed before they can run a Quad.

Make sure you have the 8-pin power connector connected.
