Hi everyone
Every once in a while my moniter turns to when your moniter is on but your computer is not and right in the middle of a game; the only way that i know of to get out of it is to just hit the power button :( i noticed that i still am able to click on the start button, so im still able to do things but my moniter just gets dumb...
Whats the deal here anyone know? thanks

Sounds more like your video card is dying, or overheating, or your drivers are crashing. My computer does the same thing when the Nvidia drivers crash..

Make sure you are running the latest drivers for you video card.
Open up the computer case and clean ALL the dust out with compressed air. Make sure you unplug it first for safety.
If you have a CRT monitor make sure you are not staking any thing on top of the vents. It may over heat and turn itself off for safety.
If you can put the monitor on another computer and see if it does the same thing. IF so the monitor is going bad if not its the video card.
Does this only happen when you are gaming?
What video card do you have?
What monitor?

What game are you playing? Where in the game does the monitor go blank?
This problem could be how you have your game configured for video. I have seen games that would take a monitor out of its freq band/resolution when changing scenes. This could be a source of the problem also (along with a monitor/video card going south, corupted drivers, bad power or not enough power to the video card).

Check your cables on your monitor and video card. Make sure you have the latest drivers.
Whats the temp of the video card idle? and full load?
