I have a xfx 780i with qx9650 and 8800gt x2, 4gb Ram.

All stable for about 1 month then....

Started getting BSOD with BUGCODE_USB....
I unhooked all USB devices, and the BSOD still occur randomly.

Then, Vista32 cannot find the onboard MAC (which are enabled in BIOS). They were there one day, then they were gone. I put in a separate Ethernet card, which works fine, but why did they disappear?

I have the BIOS update and I tried re-installing the most recent Forceware drivers, but it still didn't pick up the existence of the onboard MAC.

Then suddenly, I started having another problem...the screen would go black for a second, then reappear...with a window in the right lower corner that said display "driver stopped working but recovered." This would happen several times, then BSOD.

I tried turning off SLI. I tried each video card independently. I tried downloading the newest GT8800 drivers. Still getting this message occasionally and a subsequent inevitable BSOD.

Since I am now having issues with 3 things:

1. The USB drivers/ports
2. The missing onboard MAC
3. Display driver failure

After having a stable system for a month, is this likely a motherboard problem?

HELP!

i am not shure but some people got problems with xfx 8800gt cards xxx edition ,they have to fast memory and gpu so if u got xfx gt cards ask for new bios for it ,and do memtest on your memory ,but that reference nvidia boards got problems with 4x1gb memory configuration

Are you running 2x2 or 4x1? That probably isn't it though. What are the USB options set to in BIOS?

Memory is, if I recall correctly, CORSAIR 6400 "SLI" ready memory, 4 sticks

USB is enabled onboard 1.1 & 2.0

USB KB & Mouse enabled...(I was using a microsoft wireless keyboard, and I still want to).

I have done memtest, and that is fine. I did have a bad stick when I first built the machine, but that was replaced and it ran fine after that 6 wks ago until now.

Some PCs just do odd stuff with 4 sticks. Try turning off PS/2 and see if it works.

Do you have any issues if you run only 2 sticks or RAM? Also I recommend starting a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com as well.
