I have a EVGA 8800 GTS 320 KO A1 and would like to know if I can use a DVI to HDMI and then plug it into our T.V. the TV has HDMI plugs on it I don't think the card carries sound but that's no problem I just need to know if it will work, Thanks :help:

I use a DVI-HDMI converter to connect my MCE rig (w/ an ATi Radeon X800Pro) to my LCD TV without any problems so I don't think you would have any issues connecting your GPU to your TV.

Currently running an EVGA 8800GT with a DVI-HDMI cable. Like you guessed, no sound but that's not a big deal.

Don't they have DVI/3.5mm Stereo - HDMI cables?

I think it's only ATi's cards at the moment that support sound over HDMI...but then again, just run a 3.5mm cable between the output from the computer and the input on the TV...that's what I'm doing, and it works a treat...then I have my TV connected via Digital to my Z5500.

I don't know, but if they did they'd probably cost a lot more. I'm using a 3.5mm - 2xRCA cable to run the computer to my home theater receiver.

For my TV I just run a VGA cable over, with a 3.5mm sound wrapped around it. It picks up a little noise, but it is ok, I don't do that much.

The user can't change it, Scott will give you one once you are around here a little, I am sure.
