Adblock - Blocks any flash/script/frame/image you want.
Customize Google - One click option to do same search in other Engines, removes the stupid google ads.
DOM Inspector - Came with Netscape
Download Statusbar - Small download viewer.
Firesizer - You can set your browser at any res you want. Good to test a site at 800x600
GooglePreview - Shows a shot of what the linked site looks like.
IE Tab - You can open a site up in IE, inside of FireFox. So only that one tab is IE.
PDF Downloader - Lets you pick to open a PDF inside Firefox, with your viewer or convert it to HTML.
Speed Dial - Just Opera speed dial
Tab Effects - Changing tabs looks like going though your albums in Itunes.
Tab Mix Plus - Lets you re-open a closed tab, with all past history. Adds some cool tab stuff.
Talkback - Firefox
United States English Dictionary - Makes spellcheck a bit smarter
WOT - Lets you know if a site is bad or not.
X-ray - Lets you see XHTML tags.r

I had over 100 on my old PC, I limited them now... I use a lot, most are for web design.

Well here is a screenshot of my tabs:

http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/6963/tabstd5.gif

You should be able to click on it to enlarge it. Anyway, here is what they do:

Adblock: blocks ads on web pages, not including Flash based ads
Adblock Filterset.G Updater: Updates Adblock with an excellent list of website ads to block you don't have to do it one by one yourself.
DictionarySearch: Search the definition to words you don't know on a web page.
Dom Inspector: used to inspect the live Document Object Model of a web page. I believe this one comes with Firefox.
Gmail Notifier: Logs into Gmail automatically and tells me when I have new mail
Google Toolbar: Fills in forms, sets up live bookmarks, looks at page rank, and generally gives you all the functionality of Google a unintrusive toolbar.
Greasemonkey: modify websites to how you'd like them to be.
IETab: display pages as if they were in IE in a separate tab. Good for websites, which have trouble displaying in Firefox.
SessionManager: saves your sessions and restores all your windows next time you start Firefox
Stumbleupon: Toolbar linked to the website where you imput your preferences, press stumble and "stumble upon" all sorts of cool and interesting websites.
Tab Mix Plus: change Tab options, set up shortcuts, change your menu, and do all sorts of other things to customize your tabs to how you'd like them to be.
UnPlug: Download Embedded Video from websites.

The only new one is Tab Mix Plus and I'm still messing around with it a bit to see if I like it and whether it is worth the it's size and the extra few milliseconds it takes for Firefox to start up with it. I try to keep my add-on list as clean as possible since having too many slows down Firefox.

I am up to 17, Firefox will all the add-ons is still faster then IE.

Also, Tab Mix Plus has its own session restore hidden away in it. You might want to get rid of your old one and it tells you all of your closed tabs.

Everything is bad in IE7. It renders slower then FF, more memory use, and so on.

Well believe it or not. I am happy with it.
I am using a combination of tools around IE7.

Maxthon for one and IE7 Pro tools.

IE7 Pro tools are awzome shurtcuts. Something to check out.

I heard that so many times in Dreamweaver class! How many "hacks" did you have to learn for FireFox? How many times did a Site only work in IE but not FF?

How many times did a Site only work in IE but not FF?

Well unfortunately, the sites we have at work were created by someone who had no clue about what they were doing so every time one updates a page, you had to do the work twice, once to get it to work in IE and then again to get the rest of the page to work in FF...stupid!

The computer I'm on here at school has FF with a bunch of plugins and stuff. It's so much slower than IE7 now because of all hte addins.

Miker

School networks are set up to run with IE7. That slows down FF. FF, for me, with 20 add-ons is 100% better then IE7, with about the same rendering speed. Yet on my 800-900Mhz PC with XP IE7 is horrible, while FF runs great. Flash in IE7 makes the PC crash.

Xero (1)ne

FF stock is faster on our school network than IE7, but with all of the addons it takes up to a minute to open a new tab where as with IE7 it only takes half a minute. (crappy dell comps lol)

You have to look at the size of the add-on when you download it.

Some are like 50Mb and really slow things down. Tool bars like google and yahoo just hack your PC and slow it down.

Speed dial is the best. Fast DIAL glitchs FF sometimes, and doesn't work will all add-ons.
