Yes, it is an option in BIOS

Wait, now im not sure. I know it has a wake on alarm setting, but im not completely sure about WOL. Now that i think about it, no there isnt.. Wake On Lan

How exactly does it work?

It works by allowing you to send a specified packet through the network to your computer. The motherboard recieves that packet, and the command it gives starts the computer.

It is useful for turning your computer on without actually being at your computer.

Tell you the truth maybe I won't be able to use this feature at home a lot but at work would be usefull. Too bad those mobo's don't come with that feature.
