Hi there,
So I've been searching the internet all day, trying to find some answers to some problems I have been experiencing. It all began about 2 or 3 day ago Id be playing Cabal online and then id get pixel blocks on words, artifacting. and then it would crash the game. I didn't pay no mind thinking it was just the game. So I go about my business and come back and play for a couple hrs and it would start again. So I do the normal thing and uninstall and reinstall the drivers and game and then attempt to play again. Now its does the abstract graphics thing then Bsod flickering my monitor then crashes my computer to restart. Ive tried reinstalling windows like some suggestions, I tried switching Psu from a Thermaltake/toughpower 600w to a 500w I tested the memory cpu temp. Then I thought it might be the motherboard. I talked with a friend because he had a computer that had a PciE so I could test it, and it does the same thing on his board as mine. It also shows Blue/or green lines on the post and on the windows xp load screen So now the only way I could see anything on my computer is if i uninstall the video drivers and be stuck in VGA mode. Its like the 3d is broken.

I did a ticket earlier this afternoon, but there in lies another situation. I'm the original owner of this awesome card since august of 2006 But I registered it under a different email that for the life of me can't remember it. If you need the S/N and a copy of Purchase invoice for an RMA thats not a problems.

So I'm kinda at the end of my rope, My brain aches and the digits hurt.:help:
Any suggestions would be very appreciated.:icon_tiphat:

Ps This is my ticket #140673 if it'll help.

I also want to Thank Google because I wouldn't have found this great site full of infomation. Thanks again :)

On Monday XFX Support will be here and help you out. If it doesn't work on either PC it is a bad card. They mostly won't have this card so you might get a free upgrade to a 8600GT! :-)

You can try using N-tune or Riva-Tuner to clock the card a little slower and see if the problem goes away. If it does it still means your card is bad, but if you don't want the hassle of the RMA you will still have a working card.

Then it sounds like a driver? As that card is old, try some new and old drivers. Maybe you will get lucky.

You are still under warranty. 99% Chance you will get a RMA number Monday and get a 8600GT as a replacement. Don't except a lower replacement then a 7900 7 Series, or 8500 8 Series.

If you are able to do you have access to another computer that you can test your video card in?

Miker unless you work for XFX I don't think you should state any replacement cards he could possibly get if he was issue and RMA as XFX could give him another 7600GT if they have any in stock.

A. He said he tested it in another PC. And it had the same problem, thus, time to RMA the card...
B. What are the odds that XFX will have a 7600GT XXX in stock? They don't even have 7900/7950s... I was just telling him what he should try to get so he doesn't get a card that preforms less then what he has now.

I was helpful, saying XFX Support will be on Monday, as he doesn't come on on weekends much.
What is wrong with telling him that most likely XFX won't have a 7600GT XXX in stock, and to tell him what cards he shouldn't except as a replacement?

:offtopic: Well when I RMA'd my 7900GT, XFX gave me a 7900GT..., again it depends what XFX has instock...

False hope perhaps considering you are not speaking on behave of XFX...

Don't except a lower replacement then a 7900 7 Series, or 8500 8 Series.
When did users get to choose what replacement they'd like? An 8500GT would be a bad replacement for a 7600GT.

7600GT XXX was rare when it came out, that is 2 generations old now, chances are they won't have one.

I never said what he should ask for, I just said don't except there offer for a replacement if it is less then this.

Now can we stop please? You can argue with what I said, but no need to flame at me personally.

Unless I said something negatively towards you on a personal level, which I didn't do, flamed you I did not however I'll say I'm sorry if you think I did in some manner or form.

Anyhoo,.. lets wait and see what XFX says since they are ones with control in this issue.

The 7600GT is becoming hard to get a hold of and the fact that stock changes so much you may end up with the next higher performing video card. Hard to say for sure until we get the card in house and check it against our stock at that time.
