Yes, that's right, you read the title correctly, for this thread. Now, let me explain. My lovely girlfriend was sitting with me in my barracks room while I was ordering all kinds of new parts for my PC upgrade that I'm always harping over. I ordered: a NXZT Apollo (blue), an extra Antec 120mm Fan (blue LED), an Intel e8400, and I went to Walmart last night and somehow scored a Saitek Eclipse Keyboard (blue backlight). These tastey tidbits aren't on my sig for one reason.

Here we go, my girlfriend decided that she wanted a new comp too. I told her that she could have my: P5N-E SLI, my old case (the FOXCONN), and my old CPU (e6700), and that all she would need would be a PSU and some cool RAMs. She then said I want your chip too:jawdrop:. As you can imagine I was blown away. I mean, I think the world of my sweetheart (the girlfriend.... get your head out of the gutty benchmark junkiez;-) ).

I was like, '....ummm....', and then she was like what about that other chip that you want so much? I was like, '..... you mean the Intel q9450.....?'. She said affirmative. She was like, I'll buy that one for you when it comes out and I'll keep your Wolfdale for my PC upgrade!

Whoa, talk about crazy! I was like hell yeah, I'll do that. But now I'm tripping out all over again. It's that crazy chip fetish that I have:smile:. What do you guys think about this one? You've always been there for me in the passed, so I come to you again good ol'Bjorn3d staff, members, and readers.

PS: yes, I'm getting new RAMs too. And yes I did upgrade my Monitor, guys.

You have a girl in your barracks (better be naked), I would do what ever she wants!

I need a GF that gives me PC parts. Just give her your CPU, get a new nice one when it comes out from her. It is a better deal in the long run.

She seems perfect.

Damn you got setup quite nicely nes as that sounds like solid deal to me :thumleft:

Oh, and don't forget to return the favor if you know what I mean ;)

So what board are you going to be running the e8400 on?

A BIOS update is suppose to enable support for the Wolfdale chips on the entire 600 Series motherboards.

So what board are you going to be running the e8400 on?
I'm guess the Asus P5N-D 750i Motherboard in his sig.

Oh lucky you? Why were you upgrading in the first place though? The E6700 isn't bad at all.

If that is the compromise, then you should listen to your girlfriend...I wish my wife would say stuff like that...then I could upgrade my computer without getting into trouble every time.

Cool you got a TECH girlfriend.
Gotta watch out for her though, don't turn around and give your back.
They think they're slick.

Your GF should appreciate your giving and be satisfied with what she gets. I mean I would be happy if I got that for free. I really cant say much on this topic... lol

Yea a gf is how i got my SLI-DR before. Gave it to me as a Christmas present. But idk man, shes asking for a chip you wanted and youll be out of a new chip for a while. Id say, she should just take what she can get. Or if she can afford a new quad core she should buy her own e8400

Well relationships are about sacrifice on one level or another. It is a good trade and I would jump on that if I was you. It's the same with myself. If I am to upgrade I better have a good reason which is why I surprised my girlfriend with a PS3 (she's a console gamer) so I can get my upgrade without too many hassles. Always work on a duel benefit system and you will always win. Try to be stingy and it will always be remembered and will work against you in the long run. So make the sacrifice and show she's worth it and she will reward you for it. Mind you this does not work on the girls who want everything and you get nothing deal. That's not a relationship anyway and really does not deserve mentioning.

Huh... No offence cvasquez but quite a few, if not the majority, of your latest posts are just pointless ramblings...

My better half gets me computer stuff all the time. I keep a bookmark folder called Wish List and she goes in and picks Christmas, birthday, and hey that was a great romp in the hay presents from there.

That way I don't end up with Robo Sapien like I did last year. Anyone want to buy a very slightly used remote controlled robot bent on world domination? :jawdrop:

OMG Robo Sapien, like the ones they sell on TigerDirect (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=3120372&sku=L251-8061)?

Beats the heck out of after shave, and ties. Most of the time she gets me computer stuff or games. She gets jewelery, and for some strange reason she like appliances and house hold gadgets.

I would just like to say that a GF can turn you on when you turn her on, but when you turn on a computer it is selfish and just turns on.

OMG Robo Sapien. :offtopic:I know exactly what you mean though, Methios, sometimes GF will do the cute attack! This GF is new but she is soo cute. And she's very simple (no way near a level 50 MENSA lol), if you get my drift.

During the cute attack, it's like you look at what she did:jawdrop:, you look at her:smile:, and she really seriously is happy that you are happy, but you haven't even made up your mind, because you are in shock (laughing and crying inside), but then hilarity just polarizes your brains, and your heart gets all warm. And that's when you hit her with the baby-line. Then she's like all collecting Confidence EXP and leveling up in cuteness.

....and not realizing that her end of the experience was virtual

Methious, man..... I'm seriously messed up about that Robo Sapien. I'm trying to hold in the laugh so I can relish the gut busting laughs over and over again.
