Hi to all. thanks for any help regarding my board issues.

my system config was:
e2160
650 i ultra
transend 1gb
450w server power
xfx 8600 gts
seagate 250 gb sata II
win xp

+ve with my board was:
it was hell of a overclocker
oced my 1.8 proccy to 3.2 on stock cooler, it is even going higher but i stopped there for safety purpose.
it also oced my ram too.

Main problems with my board(i think) were:

1)many games crash in the begining: for ex commandoes behind enemy line don't even start. neverwinter nights starts but crashes in the middle. sisandra bench mark wont start, same with some other small programs. nvidia stability test will sometimes crash within a min and some times it work for full 10 mins. crashes are same without OCing( at board's defaults).

others (movies, audio, text, net) are working fine. but i haven't bought 8600 and 650 i just to watch movies or to do office work.

could this be graphic cards problem?

2)RAID not working
when i tried to have raid 0 pattern by installing raid drivers with floppy, it combined both hard drive's size and started installation.xp installation was completed but BSOD will appear at final step saying that "hardware problem caused this to happen"

so for now i disable the raid.

3)it keeps on checking for some device on post for unlimited time (i mean the small "-" like thing flashes continuously at post and nothing happens).
i found some remedy for this-when ever i press f8 or del button and change bios settings it will work fine for few restarts. but the problem is- i cant go on like this .

I have tried all combinations with/ without OC'ing, different ram modules 1gb/512mb/both at different slots, all operating systems home/pro/media center but vista,
all drivers new and old and every bios version, all in vain.

Sending board for return or some thing like that is not feasible. It may take months to see my board again because in India prompt assistance in this matter is still a dream. It is unfortunate to pay more for product than many others do and get less service.

other thing i wanted to ask is-N tune utility is ocing my pci-e freq to 2900 is it safe/needed keep at that freq. some said it is risky and others said it might clear some minor errors with graphic card.

i don't think PSU is problem and i don't know about xfx 8600 gts(could it be the cause of problems).

any help will be appreciated.thanks.

The video card could be a source of your issues, but not all of them. Any chance on testing some of these components in another system? Both the motherboard bios and chipset drivers are updated as well as the video card driver?
