Pakistan Blocking Sends YouTube Into 'Black Hole' (http://www.sci-tech-today.com/news/Pakistan-Blocking-Turns-Off-YouTube/story.xhtml?story_id=12200EWTC06U)
In a bizarre turn of events, Pakistan's attempts to block its citizens from accessing Google-owned YouTube wound up sending the video-sharing site into a "black hole" and exposing some fundamental weaknesses of the Internet architecture.
So that's their grand-master plan...don't just block YouTube in Pakistan but for the whole world...:-D

I remember seeing this News headline and thinking.....oh that's just Musharraf trying to hang on to his last reigns of power before they are snatched out of his grasp an then read a little further and was completely shocked. Not that Youtube is an intrinsic part of the knowledge base of mankind, though that's debateable, but how could that many people be that careless. Makes you wonder what else a few angry or stupid people could do to the internet if they had the means of the will. It makes me hearken back to all those fiber optic cables, which were cut not too long ago.
So how do we fix this. It certainly seems like this accidents have been multiplying in recent days, although that is probably a coincidence. Still it would be a wonderful rallying cry if someone wanted to do something about it directly. Let's call it "The War on The Internet" shall we. Sounds kind of catchy don't you think, even if in the end it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Imagine the headlines: "_____ Country Declares War on the Internet as the International Community Watches in Horror and Begs for Mercy". Fill in the blank .
