I just have a few quick question about using a P4 connector on the 780i MB. I have a HIPER HPU-4R580-MS ATX12V v2.2 580W which only has a P4 MB power connector. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16817128004

1. Is this an approved connector on this board?
2. Am I going to run into problems if attempting to overclock my CPU beyond the 3.6 GHz range and if so will a 4 to 8 pin adapter work instead of having to replace the PSU?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here's my setup since I am new and can't setup a sig...

MB - XFX 780i
Cooler - ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 120mm 2-ball

Funky, what do you mean I won't be able to get 4 GHz out of it? Do you mean with the current P4 connector or at all because I have seen several of the E8400's with 4.5 GHz running stable? As for the purchase of the PSU, I've had it for a year and a half and just recently did an upgrade from a board with a P4 connector.
