Requiem Bloodymare Beta Keys Available

In order to get one of these you need to create an MMORPG.com account, but that is a simple enough process. Access to the Beta Keys can be found here (http://www.mmorpg.com/betas/requiem_beta.cfm): You must be 18 as of today to get a Beta key and based upon the rate of consumption you will have maybe an hour to get one before they are all out. The download queue for this game is possibly even longer, since I am currently getting download rate of anywhere between 1.5kb/sec and 3.5kb/Sec, which wouldn't be too bad if the game wasn't 2GB in size. Unless I missed a zero that translates out to a 229 hour download unless the download speed picks up.

You also need fairly decent specs to run this game. Here they are as quoted directly from the site:

Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium 4 2.0 GHz or AMD Equivalent
RAM: 512 MB or Higher
GPU: Geforce FX 5600, ATi Radeon HD2, or Equivalent
Recommended Requirements:
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ or Faster
RAM: 1GB Or higher
GPU: Geforce 6600 \ Radeon 8500 series or Equivalent
w/ Pixel Shader 2.0 or Better

Only for the US and Canada
*I don't know if this is a requirement for using the beta once you obtain it, but I will assume as much. If any of the serious candidates are international we can always try it out anyway.

I was thinking of doing a review on this game and based on my experience with it this would seem to be a good candidate for one. Based on it's nature and scope the review would likely be rather long (at least 8 pages).

No, it doesn't exactly have wide appeal. Nevertheless it is an interesting game and if anyone wants to give it a try I could let them borrow my account for a week.

Dude this game is exactly what I have been waiting for! I downloaded it today and have been digging through the net to get a Beta key.... Sadly I have had no luck. :( I would love to get into this game even if it was for just a week to try it out.

I got one bid for the beta key for this game, though not from an active forum member, so I probably won't consider it. It's actually a really interesting game and a worthy review subject even as a beta. Additionally, there haven't been any real review of it (to date) so taking this game on might bring some additional traffic to Bjorn 3D.

The game is actually quite addicting and equally bloody, thus the name. When you defeat a character it does not simply disappear, but is instead cleaves in half as it writhes in agony before eventually disappearing. The animation is a bit blocky, but no less crisp then WoW on some of the setting I have seen it used on. Additionally it is being used on a computer, which just barely fits the bill. There is a high likelihood that some of the effects I see would not be present on a more gamer friendly PC.

Though I just started working with this game a few days ago, albeit not too consistently, one character has already reached level 13. The leveling process is not prohibitively time consuming, since completing quests significantly accelerates this process. Like WoW you have 3 classes each with it's own unique abilities. There are guilds and the combat follows a 24 minute time between each day.

In truth I would like to review this game and may due so anyway, but it occurs to me that my lack of experience as an MMORPG gamer would be a detriment to any useful reviewing of this game. It would lack the historical perspective that a review of this nature really needs. Now that may not be a detriment, but it would be a challenge. A dual review would be an interesting compromise, if anyone is interesting in collaboration.

So just as a recap for anyone who would like access to my beta key here are the general requirements.

A) For Bjorn3D Game Reviewers (Given Priority):
-Unlimited use of the Beta Key
-You fulfill the System Requirements

or

B) For Bjorn3D Forum Members:

-Have at least 200 posts with at least 10% of them being longer then 1 line.
-Extensive experience in MMORPG's (at least 2)
-Willing to trade access of this Beta Key over a period of time (to be determined)
-You fulfill the System Requirements

or

B) For Bjorn3D Folders:

-A 60 day Folding Score of Over 9,000.
-Have at least 10 posts in the forums, with at least 2 of them being longer then 1 line.
-Willing to trade access of this Beta Key over a period of time (to be determined)
-You fulfill the System Requirements


*I am willing to work within these requirements with an otherwise suitable candidate. Since I do enjoy playing this game and no contenders have emerged yet this thread will continue to stay open. Please don't bother to ask about using the Beta key if you only fulfill one or none of the requirements, since you are likely to be turned down and are probably wasting your time.

I have 5 extra keys that I can get rid of. If you have something worth anything to trade for this, I would be more than happy to give you one or more depending on value of the exchange. Example: Beta key to a game you don't want to play anymore, Beta Account to a game that is boring to you now, etc.
