Look what i got in Mail today

As some of you know that i've won an XFX 8800GT in the January,2008 contest so i was expecting to get a 256MB 8800GT which has been reviewed on Bj3d earlier.

But........................

I have got an XFX 8800GTS 512 MB Alpha Dog (G92 as we know) card which is, far more costlier than the 8800GT because it has all those 128 unified shaders like the GTX & The Ultra.I still can't believe it that i've got this much better card than the GT.My humble appreciation goes to Scott,XFX & to all the people related with Bj3d.Wow, i couldn't ask better than this & i only had to pay $20 as tax which is nothing for this card.This is certainly the best gift i ever had.DirectX 10 here i come.I'll post some benchies too but first i need to get some OC'ing tool.My previous Expertool doesn't detect the card.The package also contains the full version of Cany Of Heroes with DX10 patch on separate disk.

You gonna love that card! Pick up RivaTuner, and ATItool. Tuner to OC, and ATItool to check for artifacts. Then clock it up buddy!

Glad some one that needed a good card got it!

I already have downloaded RivaTuner 2.06 but can't use it properly.Actually i've never used RivaTuner before so, it's options are looking a bit complexed to me.I've used ATITool though.Let's see which will prove more user-friendly.Thanks for the suggestions. :icon_tiphat:

I know i'll put the card to a good use but my CPU & ram will create serious bottlenecks 4 sure.I'm extremely happy & feeling out of this world though.I wonder if Scott knew that i'll be getting this much better card instead of the 8800GT. :) Bj3D & Scott are full of surprises. :icon_tiphat: Let's see if i can get 10K in 3DMark 2006. :)

P.S. - How many PMs can be stored in Bj3d ? I currently have more than 225 PMs & it's 90% full.Is there any way to keep them all ( I don't wanna delete them) or i must need to delete some of them ?

I really didn't expect a card $100 worth more.And ram, yeah that's a problem but current price for the cheapest ram here is $180. :( So, i'll have to wait for the prices to come down a bit.

Still trying diff OC levels.When i first ran 3DM 2006 using the 169.06 (from XFX CD) , i just got 7K+ at default card settings.I'm trying as much as i can get now, but lemme tell you, this card OC's great.The OC'ing will help me atleast a bit to get a more higher score. :)

Try one of the newer v17x.xx drivers but more specificallly a v174.xx driver.
