I see a lot of XFX ads on this site... does XFX now own B3D?

They don't own Bjornd.com, they are a sponsor.

If they didn't it probably wouldn't be called bjorn3d.

Scott is the owner. XFX gives Scott the prizes for the contests in return for XFX adds on this site.

XFX also uses this as there support forum.

As far as I know all the prizes Scott gives aways in the contests come out of his pocket.

Nop, the XFX prizes come free from XFX in trade for free advertising on Bjorn3D. The prizes that are not from XFX come from his pocket, or from money from other advertising.

And how to you know that? I remember Scott saying a few times that the prizes come out of his own pocket.

Prizes come out of my pocket. Think about it, I sell these ads spots so if I exchange them for a prize they would still come out of my pocket since I did not get paid for the ad.

But it is not money out of your pocket, it is money not in your pocket. You don't have to send them $200 for the prize, but you don't get paid the $200 for the ad.

It still comes out of his pockets.
If he had an add from XFX or Tagan or whoever he would get paid for it to buy prizes.
Its just a little bit simpler to put ads of XFX and get prizes from XFX.

If they didn't it probably wouldn't be called bjorn3d. Are you insinuating that IF XFX owned B3D that they would change the name? If I was XFX and I owned B3D, I would keep it B3d... why not? Clearly this site has a good following of people and the reviews totally rock.

I do appreciate your expedient response though so for that I thank you.

Wow~! that's amazing. What an honor to have such an elite company like XFX trust B3D to host some (or maybe all) of their support forums. Wow. I am extremely impressed! I only joined here today and am glad I am now a part of the B3D community.

EXACLY!!! I think XFX is the BIGGEST sponsor of Bjorn3D and without them I don't think we would have seen so many prizes from XFX, though Scott said more than one time that on most of the prizes he pays from his own pocket. :jawdrop:

So I think we should be VERY THANKFUL to both XFX and Scott! :grin:
