I have a few questions for you support guys. ;-)

Your site says it supports JEDEC DDR2 533, 667 and 800.

Does this MB support PC2 8500 1066 DIMMs?
If so, does it support it without OCing the CPU & FSB?

I'm hoping it does, because I do not like to OC anything. Call me a purest. ;-)

Going to PC2 6400 is a 2 steps up from where I am now with my old Pentium 4 rig, but PC2 8500 is so much more attractive.

Thanks in advance for the info.

I just DLed your user guide and according to it, there is a setting for Unlinked in the FSB and Memory Clock Mode setting. It states that in this mode the FSB and mem speed can be entered manually.

Is this the method for using PC2 8500 memory? Would I also need to edit the voltages as well to support this memory?

I know, lots of questions, but hey, I want to make this system run decent without any problems. ;-)

ghidora, running the FSB:memory ratio in "unlinked" ode means you can independently set the freq. of your memory without over clocking the board's FSB and CPU.

For example, you can have a 1333MHz FSB CPU running at 333MHz while your memory is running at DDR2-1066MHz.

The "unlinked" setting is basically like a memory divider only a bit more customizable.

EXACTLY!!! "Unlinked" mode is mainly used when overclocking, especially when you want to overclock you memory, leaving the CPU untouched...or when you want to apply a different overclocking ratio for the CPU and memory...;-)

Right, but will I have to change the voltages for the RAM, since the default speed for the PC2 8500 is 1066, or will the MB detect the proper voltages? Remember, I'm not OCing anything, just trying to get the native speed of the RAM. ;-)

That's why I'm posting here, so these guys can shed some light on their board before I start ordering parts. I do not want to assume anything.

More than likely when you first boot up your memory will set at 5-5-5-15 with 1.8V at DDR2-800MHz.

You'll probably will have to adjust the memory voltage manually as well as the memory's freq. since DDR2-1066 is faster than what the board supports according to JEDEC specs.
