View Full Version : GPU Temperature Tools
I've got nVidia nTune 5.05.54.00 Monitor telling me my GPU temperature is 69°C.
And I've got RivaTuner telling me my GPU temperature is 69°C.
But then I've got GPU-Z 0.1.7 telling me that the GPU temperture is 58.3°C.
Why is that? Why the >10° variance?
Any ideas? Is it because GPU-Z is beta and has some kinks to work out?
Is there anything out there that's better for monitoring the GPU temperature?

Yeah I agree with darkorb on this one. Use the Rivatuner temps. They are pretty accurate. I have tested it before as well with a thermal sensor on the 7950GT and it read it pretty damn accurately. My temps are always shown to me in the taskbar and in games from Rivatuner. I am always watching the temps on my card. Been many times I would have to abort very quickly because of temps getting out of hand. The 7950 GT AGP is a little glitchy so it is the reason why I am always watching my temps.

I use RivaTuner as it is recommended by A LOT of people...and it seems to be very accurate...GPU-Z does show temps (I didn't know that either until just then when I checked)...I wish my GPU was 34*C ;-)

I don't know about RivaTuner and GPU-Z as honestly, I've never used them...:frown:
I'm using Everest to monitor both my CPU and GPU temperatures.
Currently (according to Everest) my 8800GTX is idleing at 58C and reaching up to 86C on MAXIMUM LOAD.
I'll definitely try to monitor the temps with GPU-Z/RivaTuner and I'll keep you updated in case I'll see any major difference...:icon_tiphat:

I use SPEEDFAN it shows your nvidia core temps plus the rest of your system works great for me. here is a link try it and see.
