OK. I've heard here and on other forums that 4 sticks of memory are "flaky". OK, fine, but "flaky" is not an explanation so don't post a reply if that's the best you can do.
What exactly is the problem and is there a solution?
I have had some minor problems--a couple of freeze-ups in game when the X-Fi XTreme Gamer was installed, and slow (repeated resets) reboot after power off for an hour or more. Are these possibly due to "flaky" memory issues?
This mother board is supposed to be able the take up to 8 gig. Is that false advertising? I am planning to go to Vista 64 sometime this year. I was hoping to start with the 4 gig (4-sticks) I had now and upgrade to 4 2-gig sticks later.:help:
