No that is not possible.

The only way to update a BIOS is using a boot disc(floppy/DVD) or in windows. I recommend doing the boot disc method.

Some people say a boot disk is best, but others (Including me) say windows is better.

If you don't know what you are doing 100% use the windows flash tool.

Can you rate your tech level? From 1-10.

What Mobo do you have? What version BIOS?

Can you get into Windows?

Tech level round 8.
XFX 680i LT mobo.
First bios.

I can' t get into windows; during flashing the bios i had a power failure , so i guess my bios is corrupted.
When i boot up, i see the three lights onboard goin on.
But my hdd doesn't go on.The hdd led shuts off and no video also.
I cleared CMOS , also removed battery, but nothing.

So i can't even get into the BIOS.

If you can get into windows just use the windows flash tool, if you can't and you need to flash BIOS you can burn it onto a bootable Floppy/CD-r.

As that Mobo has 2 BIOS types, XFX and Nvidia I would suggest using the Windows flash to make sure you get the right one.

For a Bootable disk, you need to download the .iso file, and use a program like Nero to burn it in the right format, Werty or someone else can tell you how to do this better then me.

*Edit* If you can't get into BIOS at all you will need a new BIOS chip. If you have someone with the same Mobo, and BIOS type you can remove the chip while it is running, put in your old corrupt one then use a windows flasher to flash it.

Where is that chip seated on the mobo?

Above the last PCI slot.

*Disclamer*
Don't mess with that yet though. You need details and make sure you know what you are doing.

How did you mess up the BIOS? Details.

The Mobo is not dead or anything. All you need is a new BIOS chip with a good BIOS on it.

Like i said i had a power failure during flashing the BIOS.
Even my fridge in the kitchen was off.

So to avoid hassle with this board i just ordered a new one.
Thanks again for your assistance...............
