There are rumors going around that the 9800 GT will be a rebadged 8800 GT. It seems reasonable since the 8800 GT has such a nice Price to performace ratio but it seems that they have added 3-way SLI support.
More on it here (http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5808&Itemid=34).

With Ati being no real competition they have no need of releasing any major improvements right now.

And that's when they get punched in the face when ATi comes out with something that's better.

Yea thats what im thinking. And just the fact that people are screaming for faster cards to max these games like Crysis out should be enough.

Don't doubt for a minute that they have something else in the works. But if they can re-release an 8800 with a different name that scales well in SLI and is Tri-SLI capable, its not necessarily a bad thing. People will buy them just to use SLI effectively. Sure, it leaves the rest of us waiting but ATI is so far behind the power curve in enthusiast level cards its not even funny. They haven't got anything that can touch an Ultra.

ATI has said that they are goin to focus less on performance now so i doubt that ATI will make a card that will beat a Nvidia one. Even if ATI does make one Nvidia will counter with a better card.

ATI and AMD need to split back up. Im tired of this waiting game for better cards. Im also tired of ****ty AMD processors.

I agree there Dual Cores are basicaly 939s on roids, Phenoms dont run at stock speeds. What happened to all of the AMD innovation?

ATI Slammed it thats what. And actualy the 5600+ X2 runs ALOT faster than my X2 4800+ (did). Im not sure if its the DDR2 or just a better processor but there was a differnce. And we wont discuss Phenoms. Thats a poor subject.

:dielaffin: well maybe i should get into Intels QX's :na:
Wish AMD was still a good company =/.
I actualy dont notice much of a difference between a 939 and a AM2.

Have you owned one? I was on 939 for years and finally went over to AM2 this past november. I noticed a big difference..(Besides the fact that the POS ECS board was alot crappier than my 939 DFI)

Ive owned a 939 and used a AM2. I dont really notice much there though i might if i tried to push it more. Gigabyte has the best 939 boards in my opinion =).

Lol the best 939 board hands down is the DFI Lanparty SLI-DR. Voted #1 till they where discontinued. I fought really hard to get one cause i was on a Lanparty nf3 ultra for the longest time. (AGP)

Na i like Gigabyte would like to get another one of their boards. Bios on my 939 is rock solid. Cant beleive they went to Quad Bios i though 2 was enough lol. You have to admit Gigabyte has the most reliable Bios =P.

I wouldnt say that, cause if they did the SLI-DR wouldnt have been voted #1 by overclockers for the whole time it was out ;) The only thing i dont like about my board is there are TO MANY options. Idk what half this **** means.
