Ok what i have is the 2x1gig Patriot Extreme Performance ram DDR2 800mhz.

When i actualy do finally upgrade my system (I know its taking forever) im obviously going 4gig. Thing is im really going 6gig :)

Now for the question.
You got this 4gig Patriot set which is the Viper series with bigger cooler looking heatsinks (not like it matters but i mean come on i think its cool)

I was originaly gonna get those but then i found these that actualy match what i have now.

Now the ones that match what i have are more exspensive. Any particular reason why? Would it be better to get the ones that match mine?

If you're not going to overclock them, then it matters a little less. As long as they will both handle the voltage required of whichever set is higher, you can always set latencies a little slower to make them work together, if necessary. If you're going to overclock them though you might run into some stability issues, just because one set may not overclock as well as the other.

I would get the ones that match what you have now. It will look better because they match and the heatsinks are good too.

I WILL be overclocking, and they both take the same voltage and use the same stock timings. The Extreme Performance ones are RoHS and EPP. I dont see where that really makes a difference to me though.

Well you should be able to overclock them okay if the timings and voltage are the same. You will just be limited by one set more than the other, most likely. Still should get a decent OC out of either/both of those though.

Im thinking im just gonna stay matching. Like one of yall mentioned, the heatsinks are the same.
