I don't think the 97 will be worth the extra 400.00 Intel is supposed to want for it. I am running my 9650 at 4GHz with front side bus running 1600

the thing is 9450,9550,9300 aren't really worth it.Either buy a q6600 or go straight to the qx9650 to be sure 4ghz is reachable 100%

Id go with it. The old GTS's like yours arnt too good compared to 9600 GT's in SLI.

I just read that the qx9770 needs draws more power and as far as the 400x4 fsb is unconcerned, does it really make an additional $500 u.s. difference? It's not going to be used for anything but gaming,,,?

I wasn't aware that the 9750 will exist on the market. Also there will be problems because of the high fsb of 9770,the 1600 FSB

That is nothing. Ive seen a 9650 at 1900 FSB.

Which is perfect with nice DDR3 RAM. :)

Agreed. The 9770 is for server and data centers that need the extra speed and do not overclock to void their warranty.

That is the essence of Overclocking. Buying cheap and running fast.
