650w Corsair PSU
8800GTS 320

no post, no video.

video card works in another pc. i have no way to test CPU or get another 775cpu without buying another (which i will not be doing).

Everything looks like it powers up fine but i get no signal. even tried an old PCI card and get no video. i've tried just 1 stick of RAM, running it outside the case (no mobo or metal contact to short it), different PSU, reset bios with jumper. removed cmos battery for a few minutes (i might try for a few hours like someone else here mentioned).

now here's the kicker...i put my old hw back in and get the same exact symptoms! everything appears to power up but I get no video signal.

I'm ready to send the XFX board back and get something else, but why the hell is my old hw shoing the exact same problem now???

Are you getting a green, blue, and yellow/amber led lights on the motherboard? If so, that means it is operating correctly. I was having the same problem with no video signal to the monitor and I have the XFX 680i LT as well, but the fans appeared to power-on correctly as you stated. For whatever reason I could not get a video signal with my xfx 8800 gtx. I had to try another PCI-E graphics card (my friend's geForce 7950) and we were able to get it to POST. We then went into the BIOS and I am pretty sure all we did was set it not to boot from floppy(It was failing POST because I did not have a floppy drive). As crazy it sounds, we saved the BIOS, shut the computer down, then replaced his graphics card with my 8800 GTX, and the monitor got a signal the next time we powered it up.

yes, i get those 3 exact lights and everything appears to power on correctly but no video signal. did you get yours fixed or are you having this problem now? i'm really thinking about sendign this board back and getting a completely different board, maybe a 780i evga board, even if it is $250.

what really gets me now is that my old hardware is exhbiting the same exact problem and its an EVGA nforce4 board, AMD Opteron 175, DDR RAM.

Same video card but it works in another pc so the card isn't dead.

Might be a power supply issue. If it's not I wouldn't know what else the two have in common given the switch out.

power supply is brand new, just got it last week. it worked fine with my previous system. even with the previous hardware back in, i still get no video.

tried a 480w PSU (the one the 650 replaced) and still get no video.

hmm, interesting...i have no floppy installed either, i could borrow one from work though - something to try i guess. i don't have another video card to test either. thats odd though. you would think that if it was the floppy setting, then no card would work.

Its also very common that when you install your memory you dont get a good connection, it looks like its in but its not and there is no signal to video. I have seen that happen and also a memory stick can be bad if you have 2 alternate them in different slots.

tried 1 stick of ram in each slot by itself? only 1 of my 4 slots work
