Hello all!

First post here, but from reading over the last few days I am sure one of the experts here can assist me!

I am looking to update my bios to the P07 version (going to try my hand at OCing for the first time - thought I should be current on my bios).

Problem is, I can't seem to use winflash. The .bin files available only work (according to tech support for XFX) for the 680i boards with the XFX flash screen, not the Nvidia splash screen (this is what I was told to look for to get a solution to my problem).

So, my question is this: I have to use a bootable CD/DVD instead and use the Nvidia .iso file? If so, what program(s) do people use here to make a bootable CD/DVD since I can't use the winflash utility? Or is there another way around this problem?

Also, since I am posting anyway, does anyone have a good beginner's guide to OCing? I am NOT looking to get crazy, just tinker!

Thanks so much in advance!

Specs:
XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Socket 775 Motherboard
Intel Quad Core Kentsfield 2.4Ghz Q6600 CPU (G0)
4 GB OCZ Ram (OCZ Vista Upgrade Edition 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MH)
Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler

You can use any disc burning app that can write image files like Nero for example. Give ImgBurn a try since its freeware.

There are isos of both Nvidia and XFX bios versions available for download on their site. As fair as I recall, these are both bootable images. ImgBurn is a good app to use as the previous post notes.
