I have a XFX nforce 680i LT SLI
Q6600 2.4 quad core
Maxcool 8WA741 CPU fan
CM2x1024-6400C4 Corsair Memory
Thermaltake Purepower 500 NP
EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB
WD Caviar 250MB sata II

That I am unable to get to post. I have just built the system. I have gotten the XFX splash screen once but no further.

I have heard a lot about removing Memory and resetting the CMOS. I have tried that, with one stick at a time in each slot and resetting the CMOS each time.

I have also read about the fan plate shorting out the board. I have a plastic plate and I removed any material from the plate that was over any component on the motherboard.

I've also removed all the LED connections and shorted across the Power connect to start to see if the power switch was bad. No problem

I have heard about error codes but am unable to find ant list of these codes. Although I do not get any video anyway.

I get stndby light when power is added. When I power up I get a green CR12J3 and an amber CR12J2. But I don't know if that is an error indicator or what I should be getting.

I have tested the memory, with no problems, but I do not have another system with PCI-e to test the video card or a PCI card to try in this system.

Any help would be appreciated.
