Just wondering if there is a BIOS setting that I can select to enable using my lower PCI slot for single GPU use. I installed two Thermalright heatsinks (passive) to both my northbridge and southbridge chipsets and its getting really cramped. Any thoughts? I'm using the latest Nvidia P07 BIOS.
Mahalos in advance!

You should use the 1st slot from the CPU, the more cards to get, you add them moving out.

Have you tried it yet? I believe it'll work without any problems, as that's one of the recommended ways to test your video card/mobo setup when you're having issues.

I tried it a few days ago after I installed the heatsinks and the result was, it would not post. The bios startup screen tells me that I need to install the the gpu in the 1st pci slot closest to the cpu. I just thought there might be a bios preference to select to be able to use the lower pci slot but not in an SLI configuration. I could really use the room to take advantage of the rather large chipset heatsinks I recently installed.
Any ideas?
