SATA Hard Drive

Hi, I dont know if this is the right place for this, was the best place I found.

My system is

XFX nForce 780i
Intel Duo Core E8400 3.00 GHz
2Gb DDR2
XFX GeForce 8800GTX
500Gb Sata2 Hard drive
XP Pro

The problem Im having is my hard drive is showing up as 127Gb not 500Gb. A friend thinks that I need to install the sata driver just before I format the drive by pressing F6 when it askes for raid drivers to be installed.
Dose this sound right or could it be a bios problem?

To do this I need to made a raid drivers disk from the motherboard CD.
The problem Im having is I dont have a floppy drive to put them on, all I have is a CD Rom, 2nd Hard drive and card reader. Is there a way to put it on one of the other drives or is the only way by getting a floppy drive.

If you're installing XP, you need a floppy drive, no way around it.

As far as the hard drive being detected as 127Gb, the drivers could fix it but I think that if you needed the drivers that it wouldn't show up at all.
