I am painting it light blue, new doors, new doortrim, floormoding and so one. It is a mobile home and I got tired of it so I am fixing it up. I will update this everynight.
Today I spackled the walls, the past owner tryed to do a lot of home improvements that were not right, and put in about 50000 nails in the wall to hold stuff.
One part spackled. Free to count them.

New door, "no sir, I didn't steal the speedsign." (My dad did)

Past owner spent 4days trying to hang some curtains.

It will be nice to have a door that works. Past owner managed to fit a regular, external door knob in a mobile home door.

I am going to do light blue, with stained pine on the top and bottom with rounded white mobile home strips that go between the wall panels. Ceiling will stay white as I hate painting above my head. After I do my room I am going to try to get a new bed, redo my bath, then do some other rooms for my mom and dad.
I really want a queen bed because I am 200lbs and 6'3 in a single bed, feet hang off a foot.
Dad loved my line I used to try to convince mom to let me get a new bed.
"If you don't get me a queen and I get a GF we are going to have to use your bed."
Here is my ugly bathroom. There is no room around the sink for anything.

I just finished replacing the floor in my basement computer room. I put heavy sheet plastic down on the cement floor first, then a 2x3 framework with 9/16" plywood, and finally industrial carpeting. Our cement floor isn't too level :(
Spent a few hours this afternoon putting my desk back together. It came apart easier than it went back together. A few more days work and I'll be done.

Tomorrow I put on a 2nd coat of paint and try to get dad to pick up some trim for my room and doors. Then when I get home I will stain them; dad can't stain worth a damn. I am going to put stained pine on the top, bottom and around the doors, then white mobile home trim down the cracks in the wall.
I have off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and dad is off friday so my room should be done by then.

Depending on what sort of staining technique you use be prepared for some work!!! I hand rubbed mine, Had some nasty blisters! i suggest going with a polyurathane finish although all the coats and sanding can be tedious too!

Sand, rub 2 coats of stain on, poly it.

To get a proper finish you have to sand between each coat of poly, I'd reccomend atleast 3 coats, some people say 5-7. I call that overkill. Always make sure you read the directions on the stain, alot aren't supposed to be sanded. Just applied heavy let to sit and wiped off with a rag.
I went with a mineral wax and hand rubbed it into the wood, That was ruff!
