Notice the site getting slower these days? Noitce we release a 9800GX2 review and things really crawl? Well next month we hope our new server upgrades will make this a thing of the past. Well at least for another year or so. Since I seem to get new servers every 16 months or so.

Cool! Yea I noticed a speed decrease here, and over at evga.com since the release.

Scott,

Look on the bright side. As readership increases, maybe you'll be able to cut that time in half.

It might be a little slower, but nothing unlivable. Peoples eyes poppin out of their head about the 9800X2, some guy on Extreme threw a 27000 in 3dmarks with an Intel Quad under extreme cooling.

Yeah I am almost at 20,000 with air cooling. Going to shoot for it soon.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the servers' specifications?

I'm just curious becuase I built a server a couple months back and I want to know it's capabilities. :)

Thanks. :icon_tiphat:

I've got an AMD Opteron Santa Aana 1212 @ 2Ghz, 2GB's PC2 5300, two 320GB Seagate Barracuda's, all hooked up to a Tyan Professional 3400. So far, it's holding up just fine with me and my brothers websites on it. If anything, I think our internet will hold us back before the system will.

I'm assuming you run your own server? If so, how fast is the internet hooked up to the server? If you don't mind me asking that is. ;-)
