I got the HD audio to work after downloading the Microsoft WinXP-64 fix that they posted three years ago. But I still cannot get the onboard network adapter to be recognized. And I also have the SMbus, USB Device, and one other error in the System Device Manager List. Why would NVidia have a motherboard that had a problem with the HD Audio three years after the problem was identified by MS?

Any solutions suggested to the LAN problem? I moved the SATA connection to another port afte reading about IRQ conflicts in another forum, no joy...

I will dig around and see if I can find a network card in one my old machines, I read that is often the only fix...

A new network card is only fix I have really seen.

It could be a IRQ problem, disable serial and parallel ports in BIOS to free up some.

if you have the smbus, usb device and other errors in teh system manager, then you would have to install the mobo driver at : http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_680i_winxp64_intel_9.53.html

as for the lan problem, do not install nvidia network access manager, this software sometimes can render the network not workign.
