VF1000

or

ZV9 (VF900 Fatal1ty)

Im getting 2 of either one to put on my 7950GTs.

Im upping the volts on them but idk which ones i should get. I know the 1000 is bigger but is the performance that much better? (BTW dont go by Newegg pricing, i have to go with whatever Frys is selling them for)

And, idc about color either like i told my best friend.

VF1000 would be a good choice.

Well is it worth 70 bucks? Cause im thinking thats what Frys is proably selling it for (They sell the Zalman 9700 for 80 bucks, ouch)

How much is the VF900 for then?

That will do very well, the 1000 was mainly for the 8 series.

Is it worth $70 in my view? Nope, its not.

If they have the regular VF900 go for that as the price for the Zalman edition is not worth the premium.

40 bucks for the VF900-cu but thats what their site says. Their prices in store are different than the site.

If you want to keep your 7950 cool and safe, I'd definitely go with the VF1000. Two friends of mine have it and they're super-satisfied with it's performance. VERY RECOMMENDED (at least by them , as I've never used it...;-))

Well im going to Frys monday to take a look at the prices. Right now i have a VF700-cu on both and they are doing fine. I just want to have extra cooling when i volt mod these things. Im sure the 900 or 1000 will do alot better. Just price is whats concerning me. And i m still wondering how much of a performance hit would i get from going with the 900 instead of the 1000.

Going from a VF700-cu to a VF900-cu on my 7900GT I can tell you that I noticed a load temp decrease of 5°C.

What would you predict the 1000 would have brought. Thats not bad though.

Not really sure but it should give a nice difference since the VF1000-cu is larger, and has more heatpipes than the VF900-cu.

Did a quick search and found these: http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQyMywxMCwsaGVudGh1c2lhc3Q=

I think the Thermaltake Duo-Orb is actualy the same price as the 900cu at Frys. I might go for that.
