For those of you who haven't noticed our overall team production is way down. This is due to a number of factors, but it does not change what that amounts to.

In a little under a week we went from a rapidly producing team with a positive trend to one that seems to be consistently losing production. If you take a look at the past few weeks graph our production on our best day nearly outstripped our production last Saturday on a scale of 3 to 1. If you look at the outliers I have marked out the stark contrast between our past and present production becomes plainly obvious. That tells me too things: one we can obviously do better, and two our production probably depends too heavily on a few key members.

This isn't a major problem and it isn't even urgent, yet, but if you follow the trend line that would place our production at zero in under two months. It also marks the fall of our team behind KonsoliFIN and PS Forum EU, which we were able to best for quite a while and with a commanding majority. Although our team has not yet reached negative numbers of team overtake it very well could.

Just something to keep in mind. I know things happen that we can't control, often in bursts, but I hope we can buck this trend in the next few weeks. Also keep in mind that consistent lower folding is generally better then small bursts of high production. It is easier on your machine and generally better for the team. Also keep in mind how hot your computer is running. Some laptops may benefit form a notebook cooler or some thermal paste. The same goes for your gaming rig or any other desktop computer.

Not good at all. I will hopefully be picking up some in the next 2 months or so. We are planning on getting a playstation 3 and I will use it for Folding.

Lost another 1760 point WU this morning after it crapped out at the 87% mark. That makes 3 this month :frown: On a side note, I set up Ubuntu 7.10 64bit and the Linux SMP client on my Opteron 165 rig. Having trouble getting my Windows rig to see the samba share though, so I am unable to monitor the progress with FahMon and see what speed I'm getting.

I've been overhauling my whole network recently and haven't been folding. I promise to get back to work when i get everything finished up. (trying to get cat5 layed before the new floors and baseboard go in)

I'll start ramping up the folding again when I get my new computer in a couple of months.

Not sure how often my wife is turning off the computer while I'm gone, but I've been trying to get her to leave it up and running. Before I left I was getting two of the SMP WU's done every day on the Big Box. This laptop doesn't get much of anything, I'm lucky to see two of the normal WU's every two days. I'm trying though!

Well, I don't suggest reading to deeply into that graph! I've been folding for more than a year and the constant spikes and dips are par for the course. The trendline is always pointing down or up accordingly and almost never level.

With some of this insanely huge bonus WUs, it can throw things even further out of proportion. I don't have to do anything and some days my PDD simply jumps half-again or even doubles all on its own.

Had to take my E6300 box down, the Foxconn motherboard keeps freezing the system and I need to rebuild it with a different motherboard when I get the chance. My Quadbox also got taken apart a few times for review purposes... Its been running stock for the past couple weeks... should have the watercooling loop + overclock back on it again by the end of the week. :)

I see what you mean Kougar, but with the weekly point total at 99,000 I think my worry is at least a little bit justfied. Granted I haven't been with the team all that long, but this type of downward slop seems precipitous, at least when viewed casually. Then again you're probably right. It's been a bad week and the production will likely bounce back up. After all, how low can it possibly go from here?
