A lot of people have been complaining about recent instability in the Windows SMP client. Fortunately I haven't run into these problems, but as the problem seemed to be relatively widespread I thought why not look for the root of the problem. Inadvertently I run across Vijay Pande's blog (http://folding.typepad.com/); yes the Director of Folding@Home and world leader in the Distributed computing.
The blog is actually quite readable and should answer many of the questions you may have about recent issues with the SMP client and the PS3. It is also an excellent source for general information about the Folding@Home project along with arguably the most up to date information about anything related to the project. If you're really interested in Folding you might as well bookmark this one.
