When I do folding it slows down my interenet so much, it slows it down when its contacting the server and it seems like it takes up all my bandwidth because jsut a single internet page takes about 30 secs to load. Any suggestions?

That doesn't sound right as Folding only access your connection when retrieving new WUs and sending finished WUs.
What are you folding settings?

See it only does connect to the server when downloading and uploading the info but during that time the lag is terrible.

Are you using the SMP version?

Im using the console version that was posted on the Folding@home link on bjorn.

Oh, try uninstalling that, and install the SMP client. It will work better for your muliple cores anyways.

What upload and download speeds do you see when it does this?
EDIT: Ditto, the SMP client is much more robust and can really crank out the points more than the estandard client.

Also, I just remembered this. Please shut off your F@H application, and run a speed test here. (http://speedtest.net) Then tell me what your upload and download speeds are.

I have really good speeds for my internet both upload and download. I tend to dl movies at 1mb/s anyways I lost my old speedtest results so here are the new ones.

And I will try the smp client you linked me to

Well, what is your transfer speed look like when the F@H client is either uploading and downing data?
Has this always happened since you started to fold?

Those speeds are pretty close to what mine are. I don't experience any issues, and I'm using the SMP client. Try switching to that, I think it will help up your folding and not lag your internet.

Well i Switched and there is none to incredibly little lag. So thank you very much.:grin::grin::grin::grin::icon_tiphat:
Just one question where are the settings to make it use all 4 of my cores? Should I just run the prog 4 times?

The SMP client uses all four cores.
If you want to totally maximize your quadcore you should get the SMP Affinity Changer so you can run two instances of the SMP client.

Well it does use all 4 cores but the cpu is running at 30% max even tough I have it set to 100. Oh well it doesnt matter I will leave it on over night and see what happens. Thanks to the both of you.

Its normal for all cores in a quadcore to be not at 100% when running a single instance of the SMP client.
You should be able to produce a step every 10-15min and have completed a WU in less than a day.
One good thing is SMP WUs are worth much more than your standard WU we are talking about 1700 points and up.
EDIT: Oooh, looks like there is an update for the SMP client...

cool. So far when I bring my mouse over the folding icon it says 37/150. So it is going decently fast. Im gonna looks at some forums and mess with the options so i can get the cpu running at 100% when Im asleep.

OK well I left it on over night and stuff and the program runs awesome. I just have one problem it seems to use all my cores but only gets the cpu to 25%. Ive been in the control settings and I still cant find the reason its only at 25%. Can anyone shed some light on this for me.

Its normal for all four cores in a quadcore to not be at 100% usage when running the SMP client. The only way to put a full 100% load on a quadcore is to run two instances of the SMP client.
