Hi
im reinstalling vista very soon once my new mobo/cpu arrive but i've ran into a small problem. My vista ultimate disk Broke and was thrown away with the case without my knowledge... :icon_shock: but it is still installed on my comp. I was wondering is their a way to find out what my serial code was for the old dvd which is saved on my comp so that i can find another ultimate disk and reinstall under the same serial code.

If my memory still serves me, I think Vista's serial number is located in the Control Panel --> System and Maintenance --> System.

If the serial number isn't there download the free version of SiSoftware Sandra as it can tell you the serial number.

Or you can right click my computer and click on properties. (same thing but faster)

The product key will be in there towards the bottom.

Thats the prodct ID not the activation #. I just checked mine and it does not match any of my keys.

Yes just use Sisoft Sandra like werty said and open the OS section of it once you install and run it and it will tell you your serial #....

Does Hirens boot CD key Finder work with Vista, or Magical Jelly Bean Finder?
