I'm using 5.91 Beta 6, I was using the 6.10 but it was slow as balls, so I switched back.

Thats definately not a normal speed for a Quad on the SMP client.. Ive gotten 10% done in 1.5 hours with my OC'd C2D

When I'm home to make sure my computer stays powered up(I'm pretty sure my wife has been shutting it down at night) I can usually get through 2 SMP WU's per day.

Okay, well that doesn't help me at all, I don't have a wife that shuts it down lol. Today my times were worse, 6 hours to complete 10% of a working unit. Please help.

You are only running one SMP client right and not four?
How much of a load is put on each F@H core? (Use the task manager to check)

Make sure nothing is using the processors other than folding because it only runs on idle cycles, so check Task Manager

Only F@H is running, and running all 4 cores at 100%

Are you running one SMP client? If so then I don't know what other advice I can give since all four cores are running at 100%.

bobletman, that just means your not making use of your unused cycyles. I figured out I didn't have my drivers installed, so I'll run F@H later tonight and tell you if it works better.

I think I told you the first phenoms have trouble, Don't get me wrong I like AMD also I'm not just intel my other system while older runs a 3600+X2 s939 runs great with Vista too. I'm sure the phenoms will be great CPU's once they get the bugs out...I'd like to have a phenom but not till they get em fixed.

Actually, mine oddly doesn't have any problems, all 4 cores run perfectly.

Jelly roll just so you know my Q6600 at stock beats the amd phenom that is at 2.4 ghz. The phenoms also coulndt oc cause of the bug in there l3 cache. The phenoms were a screw up compared to what they were supposed to be.

Ya it looks like Intel is definately beating AMD right now b/c of the issues with AMD.
Anybody here use F@HMonitor?? Check your benchmarks section and lets see what you have for fastest time for 1 frame

I'm sorry guys, this really isn't a Intel vs. AMD war here. And if you really want to talk about folding and super computing, feast your eyes on this. AMD is still king when it comes to super computing.

Ok im talking about 1 2.4ghz phenom and 1 2.4ghz Q6600. The intel proc would win.
