So the people over at NVIDIA asked us if were interested in having a sit down in lieu of their upcoming HybridSLI platform.
We are committed to bringing you guys the latest news from the technology world no naturally we accepted their offer.
Here is where you guys come in. We have our own questions we are going to ask but we want to know what you guys want to hear. Interested in this tech or think it is a waste of time? Post your questions here with a short thought on the HybridSLI platform.
Use this thread to list the questions you want answered. Keep it on topic as off topic replies will be deleted.

I would like to know how hot the onboard video chips are going to run in real world conditions.

Hybrid SLI has a lot going for it and not just what you would think. Here is a quote from the NVIDIA website to give you an idea of just one type of application I think most of us could find useful:
For lower energy consumption and quieter PC operation, HybridPower allows the PC to switch processing from a single GPU or multiple GPUs in SLI configuration to the onboard motherboard GPU. HybridPower is most useful in situations where graphics horsepower is not required, such as high definition movie playback on a notebook platform or simple e-mail or Internet browsing on a desktop.
I hope this helps in getting those gears turning and questions coming.

Will this be controlled by the drivers, hardware or the application that is running on it?
If computer/drivers, will it be reliable, and will it have 100% support for applications running on it.
I though posted a question about this but I think posted it on the wrong thread. ;)

I just see too many potential problems with this technology. I can see motherboards being outdated very quickly or not compatible with certain cards or newer cards that will come out. I just cannot see it being very customer friendly as they will be stuck with a motherboard with outdated graphics all the time and instead of changing a card they will have to change the entire board to meet the next generation. But then again I do not know enough about this to really warrant a better opinion.

How much overhead is involved in this process? Does it switch automatically when it needs the extra power or is it something you would control with nTune? And what kind of system resources is it going to take just to run the process to control it?

Interested in this tech or think it is a waste of time?
Edit by The Gonz: You post was deleted because you posted no question. I want this to be a clean thread with questions. Comments should be brought to a different thread.
Then you shouldnt have put this.

Well first, will many games support this?
Also will I be able to buy a midrange card and a low end card later and be able to SLI them without making both cards into lowend cards. Maybe one as a physics card?
