hi, i just buy a new inno 3d tornado geforce fx 5200 256mb nvidia driver. after finished installing it, am getting some prob to my screen isn't switching on. i press my cpu power button, my cpu is running but my screen isn't switching on. i've try many thing, i've even remove and place it again in the agp slot, but by chance my screen is on. i've even use it to play games etc... but after i turn off my pc and i come back again to re-use my pc. Again my screen isn't switching on,only my cpu that is running.. there no onboard graphic card on my pc.

spec of pc: p4 1.8mhz, 256mb sdram win xp pro sp2
monitor: HP72

i've even change my graphic card, but the last one also didn't get compatible.. so i've buy this geforce fx5200. this one is good, but with this one my monitor don't get on.. but as soon as i switch off my pc and switch on again, only my monitor doesn't switch on but my cpu switch on.
i don't knw what to do!!?? i was desperate and remove the new graphic card frm my pc and put it in the box and keep it left. actually am using my old 4MB graphic card, which is getting old.. i really wanted to get a good graphic in my pc.
can anyone please help me.. :icon_frown: thnk in advance

A, you do know 5200s are like 7-8 years old right?

B, reset CMOS on the Mobo.

Are you saying you opened the case and reseated the agp card while the system turned on?

nah, the system was off. i tried to remove the vga card and replace it, then turn on my pc again.. then after some trial, its work!! but its impossible for me, each time i have to do that, my windows can corrupt, that y i've remove the vga card to replace it with my old one, till i found a solution for the new vga card.. its quite annoying to see a new vga card on a table without able to use it. :(

nah didn't knw it was old!! but i knew that there are more latest geforce, but i've got this one depend on my finance.. ;-)
ok, i;ve even tried to reset my cmos, but in vain.. :((

You need to run driver cleaner first, and then install the new drivers.

Its not like hes got the other hardware to take advantage of the added graphics power. Ive had a 5200 and they are a great card for every day computing and really old games.

Save your money and just get a new rig. You are 7-8 years behind the curve.
