The truth if we have hardly any folders using Mac OS X on this team. That is fine, but it's not too helpful for a member who would like to fold, but uses OS X as their primary operating system. To that end I will try to assemble a few resources for helping Mac users in setting up their own systems for folding.

Team Mac OSX (http://www.teammacosx.com/index.html) - Arguably the largest Mac centered folding team with various resources and guides on how to get your Mac up and running with a folding client.

Apple - Science (http://www.apple.com/science/profiles/proteinfolding/) - The Apple site has a number of concise, but informative pages on Folding@Home and distributed computing, for those Mac users who are new to the idea and would like some background. There are also a number of links to other useful resources.

Folding@Home (http://folding.stanford.edu/) - The defacto resource for folding it contains links to a number of different Mac Folding clients along with extensive FAQs on each.

Extreme Overclocking (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/) - Arguably the most well known Folding Stats site, second only to Stanford's own. It contains all sorts of information on teams, users, output, and production based on a daily, weekly, or overall time frame. They also include one of the most extensive Folding Forums on the web.

Folding Forum (http://foldingforum.org/index.php) - Collectively run by the Pande group and a number of folding enthusiasts. Based out of Stanford threads are extremely well updated and professional. The FAQs are concise and informative. You may even contribute to changes added on a new folding client.

Folding at Home FAQ (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:Folding_at_Home_FAQ) - Simple, but informative folding FAQ from MacRumors.com.

Team Milken Official Guide (http://www.ezteq.com/fah/mac.html) - Folding@Home guide by Roy Handelsman and how to set up the client simply while using it efficiently and effectively on a Mac Operating system.

Running Folding@Home on a Dual Core Mac (http://www.mikesellers.com/Folding/dual.html) - Very in-depth, step by step guide on how to enable your Mac for Dual Core folding, using the text console client and Terminal Application. Instructions are extensive, but easy to follow with screenshots documenting every step along the way.

In the future I will attempt to run a copy of OS X using an emulator on my PC. That way any problems you may experience can be solved by working through the steps natively as opposed to using a guide. If there are any members of our Folding team that use a Mac please contact me, as your firsthand experience would be especially valuable.

Sincerely,
ZhengHe
(Folding @ Home Team Leader)

This guide can come in handy for those who want to run two clients on a Mac machine but don't know how to use the command terminal:

If you're running the Folding@home Screensaver or Graphical Client on a dual processor Mac, you're only taking advantage of one processor. The following instructions should enable you to use the second processor running the Folding@home Text Console Client, thereby doubling your scoring.

Thanks. Well I hope this helps someone. The formatting alone took a fair chunk of time.
