View Full Version : hahah harddrive owned. Funny error.

Well Im in my computer engineering class and since my teacher is an incompetant moron he had me sift through a pile of laptops that were supposedly working but he wanted me to make sure. So as I begin booting the laptops and I notice one of the laptops is missing is harddrive cover and that the harddrive is held into place by glue from a glue gun. Needless to say I found this somewhat amusing. To top it all off when I booted the computer it said Smart Harddrive detects iminent failure and below that it said press f1 to ignore. Well I found this error message hilarious but I pressed ignore and well lets just say the harddrive just stopped spinning after that. Anyone else have any other funny errors they have gotten.

Never had that but the weirdest thing I had happen to me was a CD practically exploding out of CD drive. Pieces were everywhere and it scared the hell out of me. This was about 5 years ago.

Thsi is :offtopic: but if you want scary/fun, strap a CD to a Dremel and crank up the RPMs; oh and don't forget the protective eye gear.

lol i remember one of my friends put a piece of balonney in his cd drive and it came out with black stripes on it.

Yup that's pretty much what mine did when I went to open the drive. As soon as the door opened it exploded. Damn near crapped my drawers...:lol: Would have been funny to have a windows error message that said "Hold on tight to your drawers!".

Ive had that happen to me before. Lets just say my mom didnt like cleaning up the skid marks.
