Well after having used this keyboard for a long time i now have no back lighting.

I took apart my keyboard and im guessing that some shielding came off the main cable and touched some metal shorting out the power relay to the flourescent bulbs in my keyboard. Needless to say i still have a perfectly good working keyboard just i have a dead relay in it :/ Either that or the cap on the board that regulated power to the relay fried in the short. Kinda hard to tell since their solder job sucks :(

Oh well.

The backlighting dosent work. Thats the whole reason why i bought this keyboard. Laptop keys with backlight.

Man, that stinks. I know I can't live without my back lit keyboard now. I love working in dark environments and it makes my life much easier.

Thats why you learn home row. :naughty: At least the keys still work, this should teach you a lesson about proper typing lol.

That sucks!
I've been debating going to one of the new back-lited Merc keyboards that's come out recently but the price is kinda steep for me.

I really only need my lights when gaming cause typing skills dont help you see where the numbers are on the top in the dark. I can hit really anything else without looking. F, R, ect in games.

Yea i guess if youve been playing games as long as i have you tend to have all the keys embedded in your memory. I havent had to look down at my keyboard to look at the keys while im gaiming in years.

I almost never look at my keyboard anymore. I put duct-tape over my wads keys and left ctrl key. I also put a little piece of tape on 1 and F1 so I know where those are. When I'm typing in lots of numbers though, I use the numpad.

Games are too fast for me to look down at my keyboard. ;-)

I can get 1, 2, 3 its just if you have to hit like the O key or something over there im like uhhh gotta look. I dont even have to look at all when im typing really.
