Seems that developing Linux for the desktop hasn't panned out as a feasible business model, at least for Red Hat. It seems that the dominance of Windows combined with the more profitable server business model and a decidedly tepid adoption of Linux Desktop systems have forced their hand. What a pity. They made a fine Desktop system. You can read more about it in this news post (http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/37003/140/) along with Redhat's own News blog (http://www.press.redhat.com/2008/04/16/whats-going-on-with-red-hat-desktop-systems-an-update/) outlining the reasoning for their decision.

Man that sucks, I hope it doesn't affect the Fedora project any. :frown: I love using Fedora for my spare computer that I also use for a file server/firewall and it's going to be a router soon.
