Hp Dv2000

I have an hp dv2000, it will not boot up, but all the lights on keyboard come on and the screen stays blank. If i unplug the ac adapter and battery for a few minutes and put the battery back in it will boot up. It will never boot up with the ac adapter though. It will also only boot up once with the battery once you restart it a blank screen again.

I am thinking maybe the motherboard but i am not sure. So looking for a second opinion.

I would say its the battery its self. Maybe your pins arnt getting enough contact.

Ahh stupid computer, it is the battery when i had tried it earlier without the battery in it didn't work. This time it is booting everytime. I am glad i looked at it again. I knew the problem had to be simpler then that. Thanks for the second opinion it made me take a second look.
