Don't let the 512-bit bus on the HD2900XT cloud your judgment as the HD3870 is the better buy hands down.

3870. Should be a no brainer.

OK guess that clears that up any reason why the 3870 is better I know its new architecture and all that I mean performance wise.
Ok here are my choices...

The 3870 should outperform it though. I only like the cooler on the Asus.
When are you going to purchase your new mobo/cpu combo?

I'm a little late to this one but you made the right choice. I am jealous now I wanted one of the toxic cards for a while now.

The 4000 series is coming... I think you should have waited a bit. Although the 3870 is surely a good card! I have a Geforce7800GS currently and I think this performs quite good, but I understand that the 3870 is way faster.
The 3870 was the best choice. Good card, indeed.
I think, however, that 512MB of video RAM is not enough if one thinks about the future. I personally would go for 1GB version if I was going for a new videocard this year.

Well he decided he dosent want this card. And honestly 1gig is a waste unless you have a 24-30" LCD. More video ram is like having SLI. Pointless without high res. Unless your me and have SLI 7950GTs which works wonders at 1440x900 for some reason.

Well I'm selling it for a better price than you can get online only $165 shipped. Really like the card and it OC's great but I decided to get something else, I'm never set on one thing and never keep hardware for more than a month or 2. I think the longest I've kept a system is 6 months for me and well my other rig which is my wifes.

I would have garbed this off you but I have my "play money" caught up in another project at the moment.
