Hi,
can some tell me how brittle these are the coils used to protect from kinking, think I have a duff set, pack said they should have been clear but were actually blue is this right, I had everything in place and up and running but the board copped out. So removed it to send back to reseller. The coils are snapping at a alarming rate as I took out the water coiling kit.
Is this right, does this happen with other manufatures water kits so info would be appreciaited. was fitted less than 5 days
Cheers in advance

Probably depends on the coils.
My set has never snapped any coils. If it's been on the shelf a long time it might be brittle.
Take a look at the sets over on www.jab-tech.com those are what I use 2 sets of and none have ever snapped.

What Methious said sounds likely, they should be fragile but not snapping that easily unless for some reason you got a rather brittle kit.
Here is Swiftech's page on them: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/SmartCoils.asp You might consider making a post about it at their forums: http://www.swiftech.com/forums/

Hi, firstly cheers for the replies. Am already on the case, have emailed reseller (and currently in discussion with their tech dept) and swiftech direct (no reply but wasn't expecting any as it was the weekend). Let you know how I get on.

Hi, I have heard from swiftech support and to quote
"We’ve seen this happen from times to times. It’s a reaction with the chemicals in the tubing. When the tubing is “fresh” out of the factory, it still evaporates some solvents that make our coils crack. We don’t have a solution for this. We can send you some coils as a replacement. The fact that they crack though does not cause the tubing to kink. I’d reinstall wherever needed, and leave it alone."
Cool support from them to.

Thanks for the updates! Good to see they took care of it for ya! :)
Interesting explanation as well, I'll have to keep an eye out for it in the future.
