Okay, I am looking at upgrading to Vista from my copy of Windows XP Home. I have looked around on the net and found some conflicting info as to whether or not you can upgrade from a 32-bit version of WinXP to the 64-bit version of Vista.

Does anyone know if you can do this? Or should I plunk down the money for a full copy of Vista?

Personally I'd stick with XP, but that's just me.

Get a full copy of Vista, Upgrade will just be hell, you can do it, but it will be slower then a full install, and harder to do.

I think upgrades tend to get ****ed up and are the primary reason so many users have problems with Vista.

(64bit) Vista is More Stable than XP. There I said it.

What Miker said, most definitely! Don't even think about the upgrade path. I'd think twice about junking XP also.......Vista's got more shiney baubles, but it brings its own set of problems depending on how current your machine is.

get DSL, its better then XP or Vista, 10 times more stable and 1/1000 overhead needed to run.
