So my PSP decided it wasn't gonna work 13 months after i bought it and now i have to pay 85$ to get a new one. There is no way im gonna pay out anymore money to Sony, so does anyone know of a mp4 player that uses a Memory Stick Pro Duo or a Memory Stick Duo?

I think its a proprietary sony format, only type of MP4 player that would use those sticks would be sony too.

:exactly:
I agree. When you buy Sony, Apple, etc. they all use some proprietary format/media to make you get locked into their products. Cut your losses and sell off that stick and buy something else....unless you want another PSP (which are pretty nice IMO).

PSP's are not nice. A lack of games and any interesting feature left mine to mainly be a 300$ paper weight most of the time, and when i used it i just watched a video or listened to music.
Theres no way im gonna sell this card it cost me 80$ new and i would be lucky to sell it for 40$. Im one of those people who never sell anything unless i get the same price i paid for it.

well....good luck with that.
i cant believe you would only sell things you would get the same price you originally paid for. it makes little realistic sense as most people buying used parts would want it cheaper than new. Unless you found yourself a heck of a deal when you originally paid for it (or bought it used), then i think you might want to change philosophies on that.... especially anything mechanical/tech related (cars, computer parts, or lets say a sony memory stick for instance ;) ). In any case best of luck in whatever you do with it.

lol i used to be the same way but i found it easy to sell things and just make some money towards an "upgrade".

why dont you just goto an Electronic repair store and ask them to check whats the problem and if its fixable after that go on www.divineo.com and check out the part you need(all replacement parts for psp are like ... 5$ - 60$ us) so it might be a good solution for ya ....
Good luck with your psp and keep us informed ;)
