I'm currently at work so will be unable to try different things for about 2 hours. I installed this card during lunch today, and on boot, there was no signal being sent to the monitor. The monitor was in sleep mode.
My mobo is ECS PT890T-A (V1.0), 500W power suppy Assasin, 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.8
Any ideas I can try when I get home to get this card to work properly?
Oh, I can't create a support ticket until I get home (damn filters)
Thanks!

The problem is with your motherboard. VIA chipsets do not support PCIE 2.0 cards. Register the card and make a support ticket at http://www.xfxforce.com/web/support/supportCentral.jspa and PM me the ticket number. We have a few workarounds for some models.

Well, just a follow up... I decided to go and flash my BIOS from the updates that ECS has provided, and nothing helped. Looks like I will flash the card, but boo. When I get ready to switch mobo's is there one that is decently priced (sub 100 USD) that is compatible, and works well? I will need a socket 775 board.
Thanks!

If you wanted to stick with an NVIDIA chipset the 650i is around $100 and depending on how long before you switch mobos the 680i could be pretty close to that cost as well.
I'm having the exact same problem and do have a VIA chip set. My mobo is a Mach Speed Viper MK8-939A Socket 939. You mention there are some work arounds, any possibility one of these will work?
Thanks

Make a support ticket at http://www.xfxforce.com/web/support/supportCentral.jspa and PM me the ticket number. Make sure you register the card with its serial so they have all the information about your card.

Sorry to necro this post, but I have finally been able to flash my card, and it is working great! Well, for the most part, on restart, the monitor doesn't come on until the login screen for Vista is loaded. Could this be a problem with me having my LCD TV hooked up to the card as well? It seems the card is making the TV have precedence on boot.
