So I am sick of buying my cords and paying out the ass and i just found out My employer has all the tools to put the ends on so i figured i might aswell get a spool and some ends and make what i need. Just need to find a good place to score a 1000' roll for a decent price a couple dozen ends and wall plates. Thanks guys!

Not sure how good it is or what shipping costs.

These guys are the kings of cable, look no further. They have very high quality cable at very good prices. Some of the best audio/video forums like AVS recommend them on a regular basis. Their prices range from $63.75 UTP - $131.25 Plenum for a single 1000' spool of Cat 5.

UTP vs Plenum cable
Plenum rated cable is required by some fire codes if you run wiring in locations where the HVAC system moves air -- above suspended ceilings and through cold air returns, for instance. This cable is designed to withstand higher temperatures than ordinary PVC jacketing and burns less readily than PVC. For most homeowners, plenum rated cable is probably not necessary and typically costs 2-3 times more than PVC. There is no electrical difference between the two, and either will perform equally well.

So make sure you know what the fire codes are where you install it.

I have found it just a cheap to go to an electrical supply store. This is where most contractors go to buy their cable. If you don't have one in your area, then try you local lumber yard or super store (i.e. Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc.) These larger stores my not have the color selection, but they buy in bulk and can sell at a lower price.

For just plain network cables have you tried Newegg, they are very good cables and cheap. I noticed you mentioned wall plates so I assume you need the spool for running cable through wall and such. I purchased a 1000' spool afew years ago from Lowes and network my place to my brothers place next door, we live in the country. After crimping a few wires for running between the pc and switch and such, I just started ordering them from Newegg.
