Hey guys I just wanted to show you my girlfriend s PC.
I was supposed to take pictures the last time but for some reason I had tightened to cooler to the board so hard that the board wouldnt start anymore ...

She said it fitted nicely with her room.

I know the dope chaud is probably pissed at me for giving away such hardware to my girl when she doesnt even use it for anything but checking her bank account and doing some WORD but hey Im proud of her computer even though she doesnt even know whats inside it haha...
But I think ill install a few games on it... I mean I do come her a lot and never have anything to do :p
Well I do but after thats done then theres nothing left to to... :p

hehe, Nice rig shes got there!! You would be surprised how much girls like video games too if they got a nice machine to play them on and you set up everything right for them.
Crap since i grabbed my new card and assassins creed i have had to fight my girl off my machine!
She might not understand a thing about PCs, But she certainly likes to play with all the eye candy! ( personally I think she hooked on assassins creed just because you get to ride a horse)

Well I was downloading CSS while playing track mania Nations.

The one girlfried i was almost with for 2 years i built her a computer and gave it to her. All she played on it was Sims. Not 2, no she didnt want that. Just Sims1. I was like what a waste. GF i have now will play some things but im not sure exactly what.

Whoa 2 pages in a day !!

Well the reason why there s a PD 805 in there is because thats a procy I have had in the past.
Thats actually what really sent me into the extreme ocing.
Back in the days I was all over AMD because they were cheap and they performed crazy good compared to intel.
One night at work (I was a security officer for the Montreal Newspaper Journal de Montreal)
And was on the tomshardware website when I saw an article about a PD805 going 4.1Ghz.
I got myself a new board (A cheap ECS C-19 A-SLI) a Zalman CNPS 9500 and the PD805 with some cheap memory.
All in all I managed to get all the way to 4.1Ghz which was my goal but the temps were kinda high so I was running it at 3.8Ghz
Later on my buddy bought a Crosshair mobo and I was kinda jealous so I got myself a commando :p
I then had the chance to work in a job where I didnt pay my rent, nor my cable or phone and I was making like 11 or 12 bucks an hour (With lots of tips because I was superintendant of a 360 apartement building.
So when I did things for the people living there like unclog a kitchen sinc or whatever soemtimes they would give me up to 20 bucks easy.
(Expensive apartements so people had money)
I got around 2000 bucks around Xmas time from eevryone in the building.
So thats when I bought my Mach II GT.
Then I easily took my PD805 to 4.1GHz stable and I took it higher but it was not 100% stable.
After that I won 2 8800GTS here on bjorn so i wanted a SLI motherboard, so I got myself a Striker Extreme...BUT then striker extreme didnt work with the PD805... ??
So I got a e4300 and oced it as far as I could.
Got it to 3.7Ghz and ran that for around a year.
Sadly it then died on me... :(
And from there I got 4 other striker extremes from RMAs that died on me...
The first gen lasted a year the other 4 lasted like a few months to a few days...like the last one I just got...
Man that 680I northbridge is weak.
Now some people might call me noob but I tell you the ecs C-19 A SLI was actually a better board for OC then the last 4 striker extreme.
(The first striker was working like a striker should work... I mean why get a 400 dollars worth board when it dies with 1.4v on the northbridge.
PLUS it was cooled by their little Qfans... Next time screw the Qfans and ill make sure not to get the NB more then 1.35v
Its ridiculous...
Anyways here s the story.
BTW now I use my GFs computer a little more.
I installed CSS and play it when I come down here.
but as far as investing in her comp... nah ill give her my hardware eventually.
Like if I ever get a Q6600 like I should have a long time ago, shell get my e4300.

Pentium D = sentimental value, Shwarz's firt OC chip, and a jewel at that....
now resides in a functinal parts repository, also know as
"the girlfriend's computer." Nobody gives a flying sh*t about what is better then what. This is about the girl's computer, and you have to realize, she doesn't care about your babling.

Thigs got a little bumpy between her and me but now that things are better shell have to do it eventually...

And Jules, yah that was my first hardcore OC chip.
(I did OC a few AMDs before that, not really much though just for fun)
Thats why I know all i know today about OCing, it all started with the PD805.
On a side note, that chip could do 4.1Ghz on air around the high 70s on full load during a hot summer with a Zalman CNPS 9500 so yah it was a jewel !
